MISSION STATEMENT: REACH ONE, SAVE ANOTHER (ROSA)

Blessed with Grace, Outreach (BWG) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in 2013 with the purpose of uplifting the community. It was founded by Gloria Westbrook, a mother of 5 who has been recognized as a leader of her family and community. The calling in her life has been to show love through food and raising not only her own children, but the children of the community as well. In 2023, the framework of the organization was revamped to focus on those core principles and form the following pillars:

Food Security

More than 34 million people in the United States have difficulties obtaining sufficient food. We have been assisting the hungry with numerous food drives not only around the holidays, but also throughout the year. Additionally, we have provided countless meals and have hosted holiday-themed dinners throughout the Broward County area. Our current fundraising efforts are directed toward securing a Food Truck that delivers hearty meals to the less fortunate.

Child Advocacy

Children are a gift from the Lord and their possibilities are endless. BWG has kept child welfare at the forefront of our efforts and utilizes many avenues to do so. We have spearheaded "Reading in the Park", which involves engaging in storytelling with children to develop vocabulary and comprehension skills. Additionally, we have collaborated with multiple nonprofit organizations for the administration of toys during the holidays and school supplies during the back to school season. We aim to continue to engage with children to aid them with resources that help maximize their full potential.
